The wonder of Williamstrip

The Ampleforth Society’s Spring and Summer social season is well underway, beginning with a warmly received Mass and Dinner in the Cotswolds on 23 April.

We were kindly invited to attend Mass in the private chapel at Williamstrip, celebrated by Fr Felix (H61).  It was a great pleasure to be hosted by Fr Felix and to see him renew connections with members of the Ampleforth community. This event brought together around 30 society members and Old Amplefordians spanning leavers from 1958 through to 2025, united by their shared bond and lifelong relationship with Ampleforth. This was followed by a delicious supper enjoyed by all at The New Inn, Coln St Aldwyns.  Do pay it a visit if you are in the area!

It was wonderful to witness such a broad cross‑section of generations coming together, reflecting the enduring strength, friendship, and spirit of the Ampleforth Society. We look forward to many more gatherings throughout the coming months as the social season continues.  Thank you to all that attended for making it such a special event.
