How to visit

We look forward to welcoming you back to Ampleforth College and to seeing you soon.

There are several ways to visit us. To help ensure your visit runs as smoothly as possible, please contact us in advance at Societymail@ampleforth.org.uk, letting us know your intended date and time of arrival, as well as any particular areas of the school you would like to see.

Tours by the Development and Alumni Team are available all year-round from 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday and at weekends by special request.

During term time you are invited to join College Mass on Sundays at 11.15am and welcome to join for coffee afterwards in Main Hall.

All Visitors to Ampleforth College must comply with the schools Visitor Policy.

Please note it is no longer possible to access the College Reception via Bell Passage or the Abbey Church. All unaccompanied Visitors must register with the College Reception.

Visiting at weekends

You are always very welcome to come and watch school fixtures. You may follow the main drive down to the pitches, where parking is available. Please note that there is no parking at the College unless for an organised visit. Visitors are welcome to walk around the valley, but access to the central campus is only permitted with a pre-booked appointment.

Visiting members of the Monastic Community

If you would like to visit a particular member of the monastic community while visiting the school, we will try to arrange this for you. Alternatively please contact Ampleforth Abbey on 01439 766099.
