Give Back to Ampleforth

Ampleforth is more than a place, more than just a school or just a monastery. It is a community of faith, learning, and lifelong connection — shaped by the values of the Rule of St Benedict and carried in the hearts of generations of students, parents, staff, friends and monks alike.

Whether your path began in the classrooms of the College, watching your children flourish at school or through the life and witness of the Abbey, you are part of a story that continues to shape lives today. At Ampleforth you always feel a sense of belonging, and a bit of Ampleforth belongs to you.

Now, you have the opportunity to give back — not only financially, but also through your time, your experience, and your presence.

Why Give Back?

The support of our members for the School and the Monastery helps us nurture the spiritual, educational, and pastoral mission of both Ampleforth College and Ampleforth Abbey, as well as ensuring our Society continues this impact throughout your life.

With your help, we can:

  • Provide life-changing bursaries and scholarships to students who would not otherwise have access to an Ampleforth education.
  • Preserve and care for the sacred heritage of the Abbey, ensuring that it remains a place of prayer, hospitality, and spiritual renewal for all.
  • Act as ambassadors for the missions of the Abbey and the College, supporting vocations, admissions and fundraising
  • Strengthen our shared community by supporting faith formation, chaplaincy, mentoring and outreach work.
  • Inspire the next generation of Amplefordians by offering them guidance, wisdom, and example.

The support of The Ampleforth Society membership will secure the future of the Abbey and the College. We can all play a part in preserving and enhancing the place to which we belong and which belongs to us.

A Living Community, Rooted in Faith and Fellowship

To give back to Ampleforth is to strengthen something enduring — a place where faith is lived, truth is sought, deep bonds are formed and each person is known and loved throughout their life; a place where you are always welcome. Whether through a donation, a conversation, or a few hours of your time, your contribution helps ensure that the spirit of Ampleforth lives on — in lives transformed, vocations nurtured, and futures made possible.
