Old Amplefordian Golf Society brings together alumni and friends who share a love of the game, offering a calendar of friendly and competitive fixtures throughout the year. A highlight of the golfing calendar is the prestigious Halford Hewitt Tournament, where the OAGS fields a team of committed players to compete against other public school alumni in this historic and much-loved event. The competition is as much about camaraderie and tradition as it is about golf, with strong bonds formed both on and off the course. Whether you're a scratch player or a weekend enthusiast, there are opportunities to get involved. The Society warmly welcomes new members and supporters to help continue this proud sporting tradition.

They have a youth fund which is used to subsidise the cost of some meetings for younger members and university students.
