Old Amplefordian Chess Society

The Old Amplefordian Chess Society was set up online during COVID, and they have played dozens of competitive matches in the World Chess League and many friendly games, bringing Old Amplefordians together from across the globe.
They most recently met in person in March 2025 when they famously defeated the UK Parliamentary Chess Club 8-6 at Portcullis House, Westminster. All ages and abilities are welcome-you certainly don't need to be a Magnus Carlsen or Judith Polgar to join this rapidly growing group!
