Benedictine Friends of Manquehue
Since the early 1980s Ampleforth College and Ampleforth Abbey have had a strong link with the Benedictine Manquehue Apostolic Movement in Chile. Many of you will have undertaken a Gap Year with Manquehue; they also had a powerful ministry within the College for many years, as well as forming an important part of the Ampleforth Lourdes Pilgrimage. Their spiritual influence within our community is very strong and earlier this year Jonathan Perry (C84) was elected as their Responsable.
The Ampleforth Society are delighted to be joining forces with the Old Gregorians of Downside, Abbot Christopher Jamison OSB (Abbot President of the English Benedictine Congregation), Jonathan Perry and other members of the Manquehue community to offer a special reunion and Retreat in London for all those who wish to renew or encounter the Benedictine spirtuality of Manquehue, to see how you might find something to take forward in your own life.
The event will run from 2pm to 5.30pm on Sunday 10th November at St Mary Moorfields, Eldon St, London, EC2M 7LS. It is free to attend but contributions would be welcome on the day, registrations in advance are required.
