How to visit

We look forward to welcoming you back to Ampleforth College and to seeing you soon. There are many ways to visit, however, to ensure that your visit runs as smoothly as possible you must contact us in advance on the following email - Societymail@ampleforth.org.uk to lets us know your intended date and time of visiting. Tours by the Development and Alumni Team are available all year-round from 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday and at weekends by special request.  

During term time you are invited to join College Mass on Sundays at 11.15am and welcome to join for coffee afterwards in Main Hall. 

Please note it is no longer possible to access the College Reception via Bell Passage or the Abbey Church. All unaccompanied Visitors must register with the College Reception. 

All Visitors to Ampleforth College must comply with the schools Visitor Policy. 

Visiting at weekends 

You are always welcome to come and watch school fixtures and can follow the main drive directly down to the pitches and park there. There is no parking on the College central campus at weekends. You are welcome to walk around the valley, but you will not be able to walk around the central campus without a booked appointment.  

Visiting members of the Monastic Community 

If you would like to visit a particular member of the monastic community while visiting the school, we will try to arrange this for you.
