OA Masterclass: Jasper Reid (O90)
Join us online for our first OA Masterclass of the academic year with business owner, social entrepreneur, TV presenter, writer and commentator, Jasper Reid (O90). This promises to be a really interesting look at Jasper's very varied career ranging from his early work in banking, his work in the media hosting the TV talk show, Billion Dollar Idea, amongst other programmes, through to his involvement with various social enterprises which has seen him lead a relief project feeding 30,000 people during the Covid lockdown.

Education: Ampleforth 1985-90. Oswald's. Head of House, Deputy Head Boy. Sport: 1st XV, 1st VII (winners 1989 Rosslyn Park Open & Festival).Theatre: played Hamlet, Coriolanus and Creon (Antigone). University of Oxford (Christ Church) 1991-94. English Literature (First Class), academic scholarship, Blackwell's sports scholarship.
Career: Trained with the Swire Group (Asia) and held various roles in industry and banking in the UK, US, Hong Kong and India. Established own trading house (IMM) which owns and operates businesses in India including 70 restaurants. Involved in various social enterprises, Trustee of Future Hope (Kolkata) and led a relief project feeding 30,000 people during covid lockdown.
Interests: Media - hosts TV talk show: Billion Dollar Idea and own cookery show: Jasper's Cook In. Journalism: essays and articles for the Wall Street Journal, Evening Standard, Daily Telegraph, Economic Times, Times of India. Hobbies: cooking and gardening (at his house in Oxfordshire).
Jasper is half British, half Irish and lives with his family in India. Based in New Delhi, married to Megan with twin daughters Cecilia and Elsa (age 14). Awarded British Empire Medal in the 2020 New Year's Honours for services to UK & India relations.
