Virtual Ampleforth Society Weekend
Fr Gabriel Everitt OSB, Patron of the Ampleforth Society, and Robin Dyer, Vice-Patron, have great pleasure in inviting members of the wider Ampleforth community to the first Virtual Ampleforth Society Weekend, taking place between 15th and 18th October 2020.
Whilst we are unable to welcome you back to the Valley in-person due to the challenges caused by COVID-19, we would be delighted if you could join us for a weekend of fantastic virtual activities.
No matter where you are in the world, this year's Society Weekend offers a wonderful opportunity to gather online with friends both old and new, take a trip down memory lane and enjoy the Society's annual flagship event from the comfort of your own home. From our fifth Virtual St Laurence Ethics Forum to the Retreat Hour with Fr Christopher, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Other activities include:
- Annual General Meeting of the Ampleforth Society
- Lectio Divina offered by The Weave of Manquehue Prayer
- Ampleforth Quiz, hosted by Fr Chad and the Ampleforth Society's London Committee
- And much more!
The entire weekend will take place via Microsoft Teams and through the Abbey's YouTube page. For those unfamiliar with Microsoft Teams, please feel free to get in touch via societymail@ampleforth.org.uk for information on how to use Teams.
