Following another fantastic year for the Society,  Fr Gabriel Everitt OSB has extended his thanks to the wider Ampleforth family for their energy and enthusiasm this year. 

Dear friends

As the celebration of Christmas draws ever closer I want to take this opportunity, on behalf of the monastic community, to express our gratitude for the tremendous work you do for Ampleforth. Your support, your initiatives (now global, of course!) are always a source of great inspiration as you strive to unite friends across the world, united by a love of Ampleforth. For all you do, be assured that we will remember you in our prayers at Christmas. 

Christ the Saviour is born for us: this is the Good News of Christmas, the message which must ring out today throughout the world. Christ was born to bring joy and peace to humanity, and I pray that as you celebrate this holy season you and your loved ones may welcome the Christ-child into your hearts and homes, and bring his peace and joy to others.
