New Year’s Honours list 2019
Following the publication of the New Year's Honours list, we are thrilled to announce that several Old Amplefordians have been recognised by Her Majesty The Queen for their outstanding achievements.
- Robin Andrews (O61) awarded an MBE for services to the Ryedale Festival in North Yorkshire.
- Captain Sir Nicolas Wright RN KCVO (T68) appointed by Her Majesty as a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO) after 16 years in the role of Private Secretary to Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
- Charlie MacDermot-Roe LVO (H92) appointed by Her Majesty The Queen as a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) for services to the Royal Household.
