OA Laura Paris: Supporting Child Education in Kenya
After completing her A-levels at Ampleforth in 2010, OA Laura Paris (A10) set about founding the "Sponsor My Future" programme: an initiative designed to support the education of children living in the slums of Ruiru in Kenya.
"Sponsor My Future" currently supports around 50 children in Kenya at different stages of education, including primary school, secondary school, college and university. Laura has actively fundraised for this project, seeking to secure additional funding so that more children can access this programme and its array of benefits.
Today, alongside her work with "Sponsor My Future," Laura also works for the World Food Programme in Rome, operating within their HIV and AIDS Division.
