Reflecting on the first Virtual Ampleforth Society Weekend

ASW

Between 15 - 18 October, we were delighted to welcome nearly 150 members of the Society to our first Virtual Ampleforth Society Weekend.

Across the weekend, members joined an array of activities, such as our fifth Virtual SLEF, a Masterclass with Julia Macfarlane (M08), and a drinks reception with the Head, Robin Dyer. A recording of Julia's inspiring masterclass can be streamed by clicking here

Elsewhere, several OAs led a virtual careers fair, sharing careers advice and guidance with current pupils of Ampleforth College. A special thank you to all those OAs who contributed, in particular Rory Smith (H09), who also helped host our Friday evening quiz alongside the rest of the London Committee and Fr Chad. The weekend also featured a 'Home Retreat' with Fr Kevin and an extended 'Retreat Hour' with Fr Christopher, entitled: 'Order, Disorder and Reorder.' A recording of Fr Christopher's retreat can be viewed by clicking here

Building on the OA careers fair, we warmly invite you to attend our forthcoming series of Industry Insight events. Our first event, "Insight into Entrepreneurship", will take place on 5th November and will be Chaired by James McBrien (O86), followed by "Insight into Finance" on 19th November, Chaired by Colonel Nick Channer OBE (D81). At each event, the panellists will discuss their career journey from Ampleforth to present day, and debate what the future holds for their industry. Click on the events tab to find out more about all of our upcoming events!
