Despite gathering a useful looking OA XI, skipper Nick Hadcock’s erroneous call at the toss was probably the most influential decision on what was an unsuccessful day for the Club. Inserted on a drying wicket, the experience of the home team showed as they put the ball in the right areas and watched the OA’s (with the exception of Basil Fitzherbert and Luke Cottrell) implode. Some counter-attacking by Leo and Nick Hadcock brought the score above 100 but we were bowled out inside 30 overs. The Household’s openers put on a patient 94 to see them most of the way but the win was completed shortly after. OACC 102 all out (29.4 overs) Royal Household CC 103 for 1 (28.1 overs)
