The Very Reverend Dom Leo Chamberlain (A58)

Please pray for the eternal happiness of the Very Reverend Dom Leo Chamberlain, Monk of Ampleforth Abbey, who died peacefully in the Monastery Infirmary on 23rd November 2019.

Fr Leo served the Community and College as a teacher and Housemaster, as the Headmaster from January 1993 to December 2003, as Master of St Benet's Hall between 2004 and 2007 and more recently as parish priest of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Easingwold.

Rest In Peace, Leo.
It is my privilege to keep in touch with you since I left Shack in 1972.
Thank you for all you did. Your courage and commonsense was not always appreciated in the Abbey community and you are the reason Ampleforth is highly respected as a world class school for boys and girls.
