Virtual St Laurence Ethics Forum: COVID-19 and Healthcare

VSLEF

The Ampleforth Society is delighted to invite its members to the inaugural virtual St Laurence Ethics Forum, taking place on 28th May.

Building upon the success of our first two colloquiums at the IOD in 2018 and 2019, this talk will form part of a series of virtual events for members of the Society which will explore the ethical implications of the global response to COVID-19.

Our first forum will discuss the impact of the pandemic on healthcare, particularly the effects on those whose treatment for chronic illnesses and general support has been disrupted by COVID-19 and will draw upon the expertise of community paediatrician, Chief Pilgrimage Doctor of the Ampleforth Lourdes Pilgrimage and OA, Dr Hamilton Grantham (H93), in conversation with Ampleforth Society Trustee and OA, Patrick Tolhurst (C99).
