Virtual Ampleforth Lourdes Pilgrimage

Lourdes

It is with a very heavy heart that we have unfortunately had to cancel the Ampleforth Pilgrimage to Lourdes this year. Not wanting to miss out on our time together, we are planning a Virtual Pilgrimage from 17th to 24th July this year. We intend to offer live streamed Masses and talks as well as opportunities for prayer and social time together. This will include contributions from the Ampleforth Community, the Manquehue movement, Walsingham and OA Fr Jock Dalrymple.

We hope many of you can join us, whether it has been 1 year or 40 since your last pilgrimage. We warmly invite all Society members to participate during the week. Details of how to register will be published in the next newsletter.

In advance of the Virtual Pilgrimage we will collectively be undertaking a journey to Lourdes, from our own homes. Many members of the pilgrimage will be walking, wheeling, swimming, riding, cycling and even hopping the distance between Ampleforth and Lourdes over the coming weeks to raise money for the Pilgrimage, places in Lourdes that are struggling at the moment and the Ampleforth Monastic Community.
